Sailor Moon Crystal

Usagi Tsukino was just an ordinary fourteen-year-old girl, who rescues Luna, a black cat. Later she realized the fact that the cat is the legendary Sailor Guardian, Sailor Moon, and the Guardian of Sanctity. Usagi was told by Luna that she is the champion of justice and she needs to find the Moon Princess as soon as she can. Her subsequent significant duty is to find the legendary Silver Crystal before the nemesis, the Dark Kingdom.

During her combat against the Dark Kingdom, she met new allies; Ami Mizuno, who is the Sailor Mercury (the Guardian of Knowledge and Water), Rei Hino, who is the Sailor Mars (the Guardian of Fire and War), and Makoto Kino, who is the Sailor Jupiter (the Guardian of Thunder and Bravery). She also met the enigmatic Tuxedo Mask, who was also on a mission to discover the Legendary Silver Crystal. The famous Sailor V, Minako Aino, later on, joins the four Sailor Guardians. The new Sailor member is Sailor Venus, who is the Guardian of Love and Beauty, the puffed-up and proud, who entitles herself to be the long-lost Princess of the Moon.

Even though I prefer male oriented anime like Dragon Ball Z or Full Metal Alchemist because I am a boy, I will always have an inclination towards Sailor Moon. My sisters were the biggest cause of why I am fond of this anime, it is the original girl power, female empowerment anime. I will admit it has an awesome plot, along with superlative animation given the fact that it came out in the 90's.

When the original anime started airing, people ensured that the series doesn’t do justice to the Manga in both animation and storyline because it was lugged out way too long and the dubs were exasperating. The original animated series because it makes me nostalgic and I appreciated it because as a child, I never care about the alterations. In the present day, anime watchers are fortunate to witness new and updated graphics and animation. Sailor Moon, beyond doubts, justifies to be broadcasted to-day and after. I hope there will be new-comers who love the story of Crystal Tokyo and the Moon Kingdom as much as I do.

Nonetheless, this series has totally redeemed itself because of the third season, which has stripped itself out of everything that went terribly in first two seasons. Toei so wanted another chance to prove himself to the audience and the third season is a spitting image of his hardwork!
